The globally acclaimed Spanish crime thriller series Money Heist, known as La Casa de Papel in Spanish is all set to return to Netflix for Season 5. Ahead of its release, the makers have now released the much-anticipated trailer of the upcoming season. A new trailer for season 5 of Netflix's Money Heist hints that the Professor (Álvaro Morte) might have finally met his match. The fifth season of the Spanish show, also known as La Casa de Papel, will be split up into two parts with five episodes each. Part one is set to air on September 3 and is setting up to look as explosive as ever.
A new trailer released by Netflix showcases the bloody battle between the bank robbers and the Spanish military. The Bank of Spain turns into an all-out warzone, but the Money Heist crew would rather die than surrender. The most shocking moment is when Inspector Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri Urrutikoetzea) finds the Professor in his hideout, to his shock, declaring "checkmate." The trailer starts off with Tokyo's monologue as she remembers the painful death of Nairobi, and shows the Professor getting captured by inspector Alicia Sierra and bound in chains. Lisbon tries to contact Professor and gets a cryptic response from him that says "The stormwater tank has been discovered and it is possible this is the last time I'll speak to all of you". Meanwhile, the security forces unleash their weapons on the remaining gang who have to fend for themselves without the help of The Professor. A scene shows Lisbon leading the gang towards their impending fight against the Army. A short snippet also sees the already dead Berlin for a cameo appearance.
LUCIFER SEASON 6 ANNOUNCED DATE
The final season will take off with the gang being shut inside the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. With The Professor not having disclosed any escape plans and getting captured by Sierra, the robbery takes a rather dark turn as the gang comes face to face with the army. Will the gang lose any more of its members? Will the Professor be alive? Will the heist be successful the trailer leaves the audience with such answered questions.
The new trailer hints that the first part of season 5 of Money Heist will be the bloodiest battle yet. The red jumpsuit-wearing criminals don their Salvador Dali masks for one last time as they battle the infiltrating army. And without the Professor pulling strings in the background, Lisbon seemingly takes on the role of leader to get the weary gang ready for one last fight. And while viewers will only have to wait until next month for part one, Money Heist's final moments won't premiere on Netflix until December 3.
