Originally titled ‘La Casa De Papel’, this much-awaited Spanish web series 'Money Heist' has released worldwide on Friday (December 3, 2021) on Netflix.
‘Money Heist’ Season 5 Volume 1 ended on an emotional note for the audience after Tokyo’s death. Portrayed by Ursula Corbero on screen, Tokyo was one of the lead characters in the show. Her execution left the viewers into a frenzy and they could not wait for the last part of the show to premiere.
‘Money Heist’ Season 5 Volume 2 starts with Tokyo’s narration and the gang trying to overcome her demise in their own ways. Beautifully scripted by Alex Pina, the web series is not only about a heist but has its own way of sketching the meaning of life. Maintaining its real-time-like fashion and relying on flashbacks, the last part of ‘Money Heist’ sure does sustain Berlin and Tokyo as one of their leading characters.
Money Heist had proposed an idea. It successfully weaves in politics and the insanity and unfairness of the economic system. It became a heist of ideas over a heist of money. Psychological warfare took over. Season 5 was never about the gold loot; it was about which ideology won. Who could swerve public opinion more? The authorities or The Professor? And it seems to me that was the biggest trick played on the audience. We were led down a path of greedy opportunists led by a genius, only to be exposed to a world of community and a shared proposition to dismantle the system. Volume 2 of Money Heist season 5 is the ultimate result that does not let the audience down.
SPIDER MAN NO WAY HOME TRAILER REVIEW
Berlin, who played the character of Sergio’s brother, died in Season 2 of the series. But, being one of the masterminds behind the Bank of Spain heist, the makers brilliantly incorporated his character in the show. They also introduced Berlin’s son in the show, who plays an important part in the heist, but not the way it was intended to be.
The story focusses more on Berlin’s past and shows the audience how he, along with the Professor and Palermo, planned the entire heist to rob the Bank of Spain and take out all the gold. The last season of ‘La Casa De Papel’ also shares a glimpse of Sergio’s past and how robbery runs in their family, a tradition set by their father.
NETFLIX MOVIE RED NOTICE REVIEW
Each character in the show goes through an emotional ride as their hopes on the Professor begin to dwindle and they start questioning his course of action. The pregnant police officer Alicia Sierra’s character, however, could have been well written off. The audience sure does get a glimpse of her headstrong character every now and then, but it would have been a treat to watch more of the reckless Alicia.
In a nutshell, the last part of ‘La Casa De Papel’ or popularly known as ‘Money Heist’ worldwide, is full of emotions and love, packed with the right amount of adrenaline rush. It was a perfect ending for all the characters the show. Along with the script, the makers managed to keep up with the essence of each character till the end of ‘Money Heist’.
It indeed is ‘Bella Ciao’ for all the ‘Money Heist’ fans.
The final episode of Money Heist starts off with The Professor (Alvaro Morte) and the rest of the group captured and seemingly out of options. However, being the mastermind, Professor once again proves he is always one step ahead and releases a video explaining how they got the gold out of the Royal Bank of Spain. The video sends the financial markets into a craze, putting pressure on the government for a quick decision. In the flashback scene, Professor is seen explaining to the group their escape plan. Denver, who was seen unsatisfied with the plan in the flashback contemplates betraying the group as he is scared of never seeing his son again. However, he doesn't go through with the plan.
