In the previous episode Kawaki became the focal point when Naruto put him on a mission to test his qualifications to eventually become a shinobi.One thing Kawaki faces is his disinterest and inability to get along with other people as friends.
But Boruto , Naruto, and everyone else worry that he won't make it into a shinobi if he doesn't understand the importance of forging close bonds with his teammates outside of work.
Episode 228 starts with Boruto waking up Kawaki because he has an important meeting at the Hokage's office.Naruto told Kawaki that he called him because he wanted to give him the chance to become a shinobi.
To become one, one had to graduate from their academy and pass the exam. But Kawaki's skills were well known to everyone.So Naruto wanted him to start with D-rank missions but not with Team 7 Boruto because he needed to learn how to work with various other teams.
His first mission with Team 5 was to catch a panda. But he loosens up, sleeps during the mission and the others complete the mission without him.They get mad at him when Metal Lee gets hurt and Denki tells him that a half-hearted effort on his part will put his friends at risk.
To this, Kawaki replies that they are hardly friends. Shikadai and Inojin also invite Kawaki to join them playing cards but he refuses saying that he doesn't have time to play "friends" with them.Later, Team 5, along with Shikadai and Inojin, met Boruto and they took their anger out on Kawaki.
The title of the episode is "Breach of Orders". In the episode, we get to see how Kawaki works with Team 10 and whether he will manage to get along with them as friends.
There is also friction and a tense atmosphere between Kawaki and the client who told him to leave for being late in the last episode.
The preview shows him trying to make amends with the client so we can see him in future episodes.
